Having spent the past few weeks building more automation testing into our mySQL backups I must say, this was an enjoyable read. Improving backup processes is often overlooked and one of those thankless tasks.
I'd love to get more time to implement more automated restore testing and wondered what sort of sanity checks you guys are performing.
